The Masters Tournament was first played in 1934, and normally takes place Fathers Day on the weekend ending on the second Sunday of April. The event was started by golf legends Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts, who designed the course with golf course architect Alister MacKenzie. The Masters winner returns the jacket to the club after one year, and only wears it when he returns to the club. (In 1961, Gary Player broke this rule and refused to return his jacket.)
