Man and Boy Information

About the Show:

Man and Boy is a play by Sir Terence Mervyn Rattigan, a prolific twentieth-century English playwright. He is lauded as a great writer of emotion, pain, and the human condition. Some of his most famous works include The Deep Blue Sea, The Winslow Boy, Separate Tables, and The Browning Version. The turn of the twenty-first century brought a series of revivals of his works in England, including his signature works as well as some of his other classics such as A Bequest to the Nation on BBC's Radio 3 in 2005 and In Praise of Love at the Royal Exchange in Manchester in 2006. In 2011, in celebration of the centennial of his birth, his little-known play Cause Celebre was staged at London's Old Vic and Trevor Nunn staged a West End revival of Flare Path at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. The Roundabout Theatre Company joins the celebration with its 2011 revival of Man and Boy, which was poorly received at its 1963 premiere, but was proven to have immense potential thanks to a 2005 revival at London's Duchess Theatre.
