About the Theatre:

The Majestic Theatre was designed by Herbert J. Krapp and built by real estate developers the Chanin Brothers. It opened in 1927 and was traded to the Shuberts in 1930. Since then, it has presented dozens of plays and musicals and has notably debuted such shows as Rodgers' and Hammerstein's South Pacific, Lerner's and Loewe's Camelot, Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music, and The Wiz. Most recently, it welcomed Phantom of the Opera, which has become the longest-running show in Broadway history with over 10,000 performances spanning more than 20 years.
