Kings of Leon Concert Tickets

If a band is unique enough, resilient enough and has killer sound, they'll be an overnight success and Kings of Leon is no exception. As a family affair, three brothers - Caleb Followill, Nathan Followill and Jared Followill join cousin Matthew Followill in this southern, garage, alternative and hard rock wonder. Their story is not so simple though, the Followills grew up in a strictly religious family- their father was a preacher who traveled throughout the heartland. The boys were home-schooled and weren't allowed to listen to secular music- then Led Zeppelin came along. The boys ran away from home, moved to Nashville and met producer, writer and former new-waver Angelo Petraglia. He exposed them to the music of Johhny Cash and Rolling Stones which would forever change their creative direction.

What began as a brief bout in woodshedding (IE- improvised harmonies) in 2000 transformed into full out rock in 2000 that gathered the interest of multiple labels when Kings of Leon tickets began to become popular. After signing onto RCA records, Kings of Leon would release their first EP "Holy Roller Novocaine" and full length studio album "Young and Young Manhood" in 2003. Heralding comparisons to Lynard Skynard and The Strokes, these shag-clad men were named "Best New Band" by multiple media outlets in the UK. Kings of Leon tickets went on sale and the band toured with The Strokes and U2. Interest mounted as people began requesting Kings of Leon tickets instead of tickets to see the headliners- the trend would continue to ring true in Europe through their earlier years.

Kings of Leon's second release, "Aha Shake Heartbreak" in 2005 gained these boys national attention from top rock stars like Radiohead, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam and Oasis. The Kings of Leon tickets included opening gigs for Pearl Jam and Bob Dylan as headliners- the band still gaining much of their attention from across the blue pond.

Never letting their guard down, 2006 found Kings of Leon back in the studio for their third album "Because of the Times," released in 2007. NME said that the release "cement[ed] Kings of Leon as one of the great American bands of our times." Delving away from their gritty Southern style Rolling Stone had this to say about the album- "the band doesn't fuss with any sort of rootsy purism, which is why it gets away with retro moves that would sound soft from anybody else."

2008 would be the year of "Only by the Night" gathering influences from Radiohead and My Morning Jacket, Kings of Leon concerts ensued around Great Britain to promote their album. It was the release of the single "Sex on Fire" that would propel them to the top of the Billboard Hot Modern Rock chart. In 2009, they embarked on a large-scale Kings of Leon tour, with many dates selling out quickly. In 2010, Kings of Leon won the Grammy for Record of the Year, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group and Best Rock Song for "Use Somebody." And now, the Kings of Leon tour is coming to a venue near you. But act fast, word is getting out that Kings of Leon are hitting it big, and Kings of Leon tickets won't be available for long. So see a legend in the making when you grab your Kings of Leon tickets for the Kings of Leon 2011 tour today!
