Kennedy Center Concert Hall Information

The Concert Hall, the Kennedy Center’s largest theater, was originally opened in 1971. It received renovations in 1997, which improved its already stellar acoustics with a high-tech acoustical canopy, as well as improved seating sections. With seating for 2,465 patrons it is currently the largest theater in the Center, and it recently received the purpose built Rubenstein Organ, tailored specifically for the theater, as a donation from David M. Rubenstein. Upcoming performances by the National Symphony Orchestra in the Concert Hall theater include Saint-Saens: "Bacchanale" from Samson et Dalila, Op. 47, Rimsky-Korsakov: Scheherazade, Op.35, as well as soloists performing Debussy: Nocturnes (I. Nauge; II. Fêtes), and Vaughan Williams: Symphone No. 2 "London."
