It’s very rare occurrence when a reality show turns a regular person into a bona fide star, but for Ms. Kelly Clarkson, the gleam of stardom was already in her blood. Kelly Clarkson won the first season of American Idol in 2002 and is the most successful contestant of the show to date. Kelly Clarkson Grew up in Fort Worth, TX and, after her parents divorced and her family moved around quite a bit, Clarkson found refuge in music. Having never been classically trained in voice, Kelly Clarkson's teachers and peers encouraged this natural talent to perform in musicals and talent competitions throughout Texas. In 2002, Kelly Clarkson auditioned for and won American Idol, receiving 58% of the vote against runner up Justin Guarini. Directly after her Idol crowning, Clarkson embarked on the American Idols Live tour and starred in the box office disappointment "From Justin to Kelly" and was contractually obligated to compete in World Idol 2003- she came in second place behind Kurt Nilsen from Norweigen Idol. Kelly Clarkson soon received national praise for the successful release of her first single "A Moment Like This" before serving up her first studio album Thankful which debuted at number one and was certified double platinum. Soon after, Kelly Clarkson tickets went on sale and a sold out Kelly Clarkson tour ensued. Kelly Clarkson tickets were hot items for the Kelly Clarkson tour that year, and her second studio album would only heighten her success. Breakaway, Kelly Clarkson's second studio album, would be a fixture on the Billboard 200 Top 20 chart for a full year, the fourth album in history to having such staying power. Billboard Critics had this to say about the album's tracks - "These are the numbers that sound simultaneously mainstream and youthful, which is a hard trick to pull off, and they are the tracks that illustrate that Kelly Clarkson is a rare thing in the 2000s: a pop singer who's neither hip nor square, just solidly and enjoyably in the mainstream." In addition to the multitude of TV programs that this pop sensation appeared on, the Kelly Clarkson tour "Breakaway" gave her even more exposure to audiences yearning for Kelly Clarkson tickets. The album produced four top 10 hits- "Breakaway," "Since U Been Gone" :"Behind These Hazel Eyes" and "Because of You." It was during a European Kelly Clarkson tour in 2006 that she began writing songs for her third studio album, My December, which peaked at the number 2 spot during its 2007 release. Although My December received less attention than her previous albums, it was certified platinum. That year, Kelly Clarkson opted for an intimate Kelly Clarkson tour- with Kelly Clarkson tickets virtually selling out for each date. Recently, Kelly Clarkson released her fourth studio album All I Ever Wanted in March 2009, and her number one single “My Life Would Suck Without You" has broken records with its instant jump from number 97 to number 1 within the first week of its release. Kelly Clarkson is now hitting the road for her "All I Ever Wanted Summer Fair Kelly Clarkson Tour" in 2009- you'll get three for the price of one!
