Born in Walling, England at the end of World War II, Jeff Beck grew up in a house that appreciated music. According to Beck, “For my parents, who lived through the war, music was a source of comfort to them. Life was tense and music helped them forget about their troubles. I’m sure that made an impression on me.” As a teenager, Jeff Beck sang in the church choir and practiced on borrowed guitars - he even tried to build his own! His inspirations included Les Paul, Brad Kinnison, Chuck Berry and Steve Cropper.

Jeff Beck began his career as a session guitarist back when Jeff Beck tickets weren't so popular.
