Ingrid Ellen Egbert Michaelson is an indie-pop singer/songwriter from New York. Ingrid Michaelson’s band includes Allie Moss and Bess Rogers on guitar, Chris Kuffner on bass, Saul Simon-MacWilliams on keys and Elliot Jacobson on drums. Ingrid Michaelson’s studio albums include 2005’s Slow the Rain, 2006’s Girls and Boys, 2008’s Be OK, 2009’s Everybody, and 2012’s Human Again. The single “The Way I Am” off Girls and Boys was certified platinum in the United States. Other top singles include “Be OK” off the Be OK album, “Maybe” off the album Everybody and “Ghost” off the album Human Again. Ingrid Michaelson took up piano at age four, and trained at Manhattan's Third Street Music School. She graduated from Binghamton University, where she received a degree in theater. While at Binghamton University, she was a member of a coed acappella group called "Binghamtonics," and the "Pappy Parker Players," an improv comedy group.

In 2006, Ingrid teamed up withWilliam Fitzsimmons on his album Goodnight,which was released that same year. In 2008, Ingrid Michaelson opened for Jason Mraz on his Europe tourand in 2009, Ingrid began her "Everybody" tour of the United States and Europe which continued in 2010. Michaelson recorded a duet with Sara Bareilles called "Winter Song,which was featured on The Hotel Café Presents Winter Songs. The duo performed the song on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the song was later featured on a variety of television shows. Ingrid and Bareilles performed "Winter Song" for President Barack Obama and his family at the National Christmas Tree Lighting in December 2010. In 2011, "Winter Song" reached number 2 on the Irish Singles Chart.
