Houston Texans 2014 Outlook

Texans Fast Facts
  • Founded: 2002
  • Playoff appearances: 2011, 2012
  • Head Coach: Bill O'Brien
  • Owner: Bob McNair
  • All-time passing leader: Matt Schaub
  • All-time rushing leader: Arian Foster
  • All-time receiving leader: Andre Johnson

There's no way around it -- the 2013 season was a disappointment for the Houston Texans. The Texans entered the season with Super Bowl aspirations, and ended it with the No. 1 overall pick. Houston brought in Bill O'Brien to take over as Houston's head coach -- and the Texans are poised to return to contention this season.

Founded in 2002, the Texans are the youngest NFL franchise. Houston was awarded an expansion team after the Houston Oilers moved to Tennessee and became the Titans. Houston qualified for the playoffs for the first time in franchise history in 2011, and repeated as AFC South champions in 2012.

With a defense anchored by J.J. Watt, and an offense boasting Arian Foster and Andre Johnson, the Texans are primed to compete again in 2014 -- despite a disastrous 2013 season.

Now armed with the No. 1 overall pick, the Texans are poised to inject impact players to the team's roster via the draft. Be sure that you're there at NRG Stadium this season to watch the Texans try to climb back to the top of the AFC South! Check out Houston's 2014 schedule, and buy your Texans tickets today!
