Halestorm was able to sign a recording contract with Atlantic Records in 2005 and released the self-titled debut album Halestorm in April of 2009. With a sound similar to bands such as Evanescence, Cherri Bomb, Shinedown, and Hinder, the album gained attention and the lead single "I Get Off" was heavily played on the radio. Their most recent achievement has been winning a Grammy Award for the Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for their song "Love Bites (So Do I)" which makes them the first female-fronted band to not only be nominated but also to win this category.
