The Ticket Liquidator Lowdown
  • We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue.
  • Tickets may be above face value.

    close

Ticket Liquidator is a nationwide network through which licensed companies resell tickets to events. This means that we don't charge your card, nor own, price, or ship the tickets listed for sale on our website. Instead, these tickets are priced, shipped, etc., by different sellers who usually include a mark-up fee in the final ticket price. While sometimes frustrating, this price mark-up is standard across ticket resale websites and is the extra price we all pay to access great seats to great events on our own schedule when primary ticket sources are likely sold-out.
  • Seat numbers are not available for tickets listings.

    close

Our ticket sellers don't advertise seat numbers on their listings in order to avoid the flagrant double-booking of tickets. That would translate into numerous customers having their orders cancelled when they otherwise thought they were "all set." So, to prevent this, our ticket sellers give themselves leeway by listing tickets in general sections and rows. Even then, if they run out of tickets, they will immediately try to find replacement tickets for you of equal or greater value. The general goal: get you those tickets before you've missed a crucial buying opportunity!
  • All seats are together unless stated otherwise.

    close

We understand that people often attend events with friends or family and so it's important to be able to be near the ones you love. That means that all tickets on our website are guaranteed to be together unless explicitly stated otherwise (eg: the seller advertises the tickets as being "piggybacked"). Another rare exception is if the seller of a listing notes that the tickets will be "split" (ie: split up into different consecutive chunks) if a customer purchases more than a certain number of them.
  • Tickets are not guaranteed to ship immediately.

    close

It's an unfortunate fact of life that neither we nor the sellers who list tickets on our website are responsible for ticket distribution. This is in the busy hands of event promoters and means that we are all at their mercy (so to speak!). Occasionally, indeed, tickets are not even printed and/or distributed until within weeks of their event. This means that our ticket sellers may not have tickets in hand to ship to you immediately after you place an order. But, no fear, because the minute your tickets are available, they will be shipped according to the method chosen during checkout.
  • Ticket prices vary because the sellers do, too.

    close

Ticket Liquidator, rather like Ebay, is a forum where licensed ticket companies and consumers like you can resell tickets to events. These numerous sellers price their tickets based on personal calculations about what they think "the public" is willing to pay. One seller may list tickets at $50 apiece and another may list tickets in the very same section and row at $35 apiece. In short, the price of a ticket does not always determine the quality of a seat. Therefore, as a rule, it is better to buy tickets based on stated location rather than price.
  • A service fee is added to ticket orders at checkout.

    close

The service fee (20% of the total ticket price) is an integral part of our business model and will be calculated automatically on the checkout page. It pays for website maintenance, credit card billing security, e-mail and phone-based customer support, and the technological system that allows sellers to list tickets online. Please note that all businesses charge a service fee (even those who "don't!") and that ours is one of the lowest in the secondary ticket market. We prefer to advertise it separately from the ticket price for the sake of full price transparency.
  • Orders are not guaranteed until accepted by the seller.

    close

The sellers who list tickets through Ticket Liquidator have a small window of time during which they're allowed to accept or reject a ticket order placed by a customer. Sellers often list tickets (albeit for high prices!) on other websites and thus they may need some time to make sure the tickets you purchased were not just bought by someone else. Please note that our Worry-Free Guarantee does not take effect for ticket purchases until a seller officially accepts an order and confirms that it will be fulfilled. (Most sellers will contact you directly to confirm your order's status within a few hours, but we at TL can always check for you, too!)
  • All sales are final, so choose wisely!

    close

There are very few diversions from this rule: First, you will be refunded by the seller for your order total (minus the shipping fee) if your event is cancelled or never played. Second, you will be refunded by the seller for all order charges if your tickets do not allow access to the venue or are not delivered in time for the event. Please note, though, that postponed events do not entitle customers to a refund because the tickets will be valid for the new date of the event. (In that case, if you're stuck with tickets you don't want, you can always resell them on Ticket Liquidator!)
  • Are you buying tickets as a gift for someone?

    close

Tickets may not ship immediately after you purchase them, but that doesn't meanyou have to worry about getting them in time for a big occasion! Email giftnote@ticketliquidator.comand we will create a giftnote that you can give your gift recipient in lieu of tickets. The giftnote could be customized for your event type (holiday, birthday, "thank you" - etc.)and be delivered via email as a PDF document within one business day. We can alsoship hard copies of gift notes, as well - whatever you want - so that your specialsomeone has something to open on the big day!

Green Day Concert Tickets

Fun Fact: American Idiot Tickets recently went on sale for the Broadway-bound rock opera based on the Green Day album of the same name.

Uno! Dos! Tre!

It's been almost 20 years since Green Day's landmark major label debut Dookie took over the airwaves with ear candy like "Basketcase," "Longview" and "When I Come Around" but this three-piece from Berkeley has remained relevant on the strength of sweeping rock statements like 2004's American Idiot which morphed into a musical and the rapid release album trilogy Uno! Dos! Tres! Now BIllie Joe, Mike and Tre are back on Green Day tour dates! See them now before they head back into the studio to craft their next rock opus!

About Green Day

It was back when you were sporting your heavy duty walkman, scuffed up Vans and band T-shirt so worn, the neck was warped to useless that you first heard Green Day. Dookie was the album and "Basketcase" would be your mantra. Well this post-punk revival band is still here, and hasn't lost an ounce of street cred and luckily, Green Day tickets are on sale right now.

Singer Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt have been friends since the tender age of 10, the two formed their first band Sweet Children at 14. At 17, the two recorded their first EP under the name Green Day with drummer John Kiffimeyer and the punk record label Lookout in 1989. A year later, Green Day released it's first full length album 39/Smooth inspired by Cali-punk band Operation Ivy. After the first Green Day tour, Kiffimeyer left the band to pursue school and was replaced by current drummer Tre Cool.

1992 saw the release of Kerplunk which built a strong fan base in Berkeley where fans regularly bought Green Day tickets and attended Green Day concerts. The album became one of the biggest selling independent albums to date and caught the attention of a few major record labels. Green Day was soon signed to Reprise records and released Dookie, their major mainstream breakthrough record in 1994.

"Longview,""Basketcase" and "When I Come Around" would blast through speakers around the country as the world began to fall for the relatively new pop punk genre. Green Day concerts at Lollapalooza and Woodstock would further propel Green Day into the mainstream as the demand for Green Day tickets skyrocketed. Some hardcore fans didn't like the change, most embraced it- the album even won a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music performance that year- not too shabby for a sophomoric release huh?

1995's follow-up album, Insomniac, would not chart as well as Dookie despite the positive critical reception. Rolling Stone had this to say about the album - "In punk the good stuff actually unfolds and gains meaning as you listen without sacrificing any of its electric, haywire immediacy. And Green Day are as good as this stuff gets." Warning, Green Day's 2000 release was considered a commercial letdown, but due to Green Day's popularity on the concert circuit, fans still poured into stadiums with their Green Day tickets.

After a relatively extended break, American Idiot was released in 2004. This multi-platinum album returned to the bread and butter of Green Day's style- pure punk. The band was careful to insert melodies with political overtones and a healthy balance of playful pop, and it worked. All five singles "American Idiot," "Holiday," "Jesus of Suburbia," "Wake Me Up When September Ends," and " Boulevard of Broken Dreams" were hits making Green Day tickets one of the most sought after concert tickets that year.

After a long Green Day tour, the band recorded a cover of "The Saints Are Coming" by new wave/ punk rockers The Skids with U2 in honor of musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina in 2006 before focusing their attention on respective side projects. Well the break is over kids, and Green Day tickets are going on sale soon and guess what? Green Day also released their eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, in May of 2009, and produced the Broadway show American Idiot. So expect the Green Day tickets craze to commence.
