Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Thorogood got his start in 1981 opening for a little band known as The Rolling Stones. With a penchant for big songs and grand gestures, George Thorogood and the Destroyers made a name for themselves on their famous 50/50 tour where they toured 50 states in 50 days and rocked them all. Now Thorogood is back and touring in support of his latest album 2120 South Michigan Avenue which features covers of some of the greatest blues musicians of all time including Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Bo Diddley, Willie Dixon and Chuck Berry as well as new original material from the band.
