It takes place in the months leading up to her tragic and untimely death, at a time when she was desperately trying to hold on to her star status in the face of multiple obstacles and pressures, including drug addiction and complicated relationships with the men in her life. Written by Peter Quilter, it features some of Garland's biggest hit songs, including "The Trolley Song," "You Made Me Love You," "Come Rain or Come Shine," "The Man That Got Away," and, of course, "Over the Rainbow." Olivier Award-winner Tracie Bennett ("She Loves Me," "Hairspray") originated the star role to rave reviews. Plot Synopsis:

It is 1968 and Judy Garland is trying her best to maintain her star status. Because of a recent wave of negative press, Judy is trying to use her signature talents (remarkable voice, quick wit, and incredible energy) to get the world on her side again.
