It took a few years for English singer-songwriter David Gray to arrive on the scene, seven to be exact, but who can forget that distinctive keening coming out of the speakers at the end of the summer of 2000, and not knowing what Gray was saying (“Let go of your heart, let go of your head”) but thinking it was pretty catchy.

That was Babylon off of Gray’s breakthrough album White Ladder which also yielded the hits This Year's Love, Please Forgive Me and Sail Away.
