In high demand after a fourth place finish in the pop-gladiatorial arena of American Idol, Chris Daughtry turned down an offer to be the lead man of Fuel to front his own band. Chris Daughtry even sang at the 2009 Thanksgiving NFL half-time show for the annual Cowboys-Raiders game to one of the biggest captive audiences of the year.
