Darius Rucker Concert Tickets |
Darius Rucker has had an interesting career to say the least. Since his college days at the University of South Carolina where he founded the rock band Hootie and the Blowfish, this unique vocalist has been winning the hearts and minds of loyal fans everywhere lining up for Darius Rucker tour dates. Hootie and the Blowfish would go on to achieve major stardom over the course of five albums before Rucker set off on his own in a different direction. You can hear the first seeds of Rucker’s country music potential in the lyrics and music to the Hootie song Let Her Cry. Rucker paid his dues, most memorably hawking bacon sandwiches for Burger King as a singing cowboy, but that costume proved more apt than anybody realized with the release of his first country album Learn to Live. His first single, Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It charted number one for Hot Country Songs and made Rucker the first black man to do that in almost 30 years. Then he did it two more times with It Won't Be Like This for Long and Alright, kicking the door wide open for Rucker to saunter in, pull up a chair and make a critically acclaimed second album named after his birthplace and year, Charleston, SC 1966. Pick up Darius Rucker tickets to see this talented country singer writing his own legend at Darius Rucker concerts near you. |
