The Ticket Liquidator Lowdown
  • We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue.
  • Tickets may be above face value.

    close

Ticket Liquidator is a nationwide network through which licensed companies reselltickets to events. This means that we don't charge your card, nor own, price, orship the tickets listed for sale on our website. Instead, these tickets are priced, shipped, etc., by different sellers who usually include a mark-up fee in the finalticket price. While sometimes frustrating, this price mark-up is standard acrossticket resale websites and is the extra price we all pay to access great seats togreat events on our own schedule when primary ticket sources are likely sold-out.
  • Seat numbers are not available for tickets listings.

    close

Our ticket sellers don't advertise seat numbers on their listings in order to avoidthe flagrant double-booking of tickets. That would translate into numerous customershaving their orders cancelled when they otherwise thought they were "all set." So,to prevent this, our ticket sellers give themselves leeway by listing tickets ingeneral sections and rows. Even then, if they run out of tickets, they will immediatelytry to find replacement tickets for you of equal or greater value. The general goal:get you those tickets before you've missed a crucial buying opportunity!
  • All seats are together unless stated otherwise.

    close

We understand that people often attend events with friends or family and so it'simportant to be able to be near the ones you love. That means that all tickets onour website are guaranteed to be together unless explicitly stated otherwise (eg:the seller advertises the tickets as being "piggybacked"). Another rare exceptionis if the seller of a listing notes that the tickets will be "split" (ie: splitup into different consecutive chunks) if a customer purchases more than a certainnumber of them.
  • Tickets are not guaranteed to ship immediately.

    close

It's an unfortunate fact of life that neither we nor the sellers who list ticketson our website are responsible for ticket distribution. This is in the busy handsof event promoters and means that we are all at their mercy (so to speak!). Occasionally, indeed, tickets are not even printed and/or distributed until within weeks of theirevent. This means that our ticket sellers may not have tickets in hand to ship toyou immediately after you place an order. But, no fear, because the minute yourtickets are available, they will be shipped according to the method chosen duringcheckout.
  • Ticket prices vary because the sellers do, too.

    close

Ticket Liquidator, rather like Ebay, is a forum where licensed ticket companies andconsumers like you can resell tickets to events. These numerous sellers price theirtickets based on personal calculations about what they think "the public" is willingto pay. One seller may list tickets at $50 apiece and another may list tickets inthe very same section and row at $35 apiece. In short, the price of a ticket doesnot always determine the quality of a seat. Therefore, as a rule, it is better tobuy tickets based on stated location rather than price.
  • A service fee is added to ticket orders at checkout.

    close

The service fee (20% of the total ticket price) is an integral part of our businessmodel and will be calculated automatically on the checkout page. It pays for websitemaintenance, credit card billing security, e-mail and phone-based customer support, and the technological system that allows sellers to list tickets online. Pleasenote that all businesses charge a service fee (even those who "don't!") and thatours is one of the lowest in the secondary ticket market. We prefer to advertiseit separately from the ticket price for the sake of full price transparency.
  • Orders are not guaranteed until accepted by the seller.

    close

The sellers who list tickets through Ticket Liquidator have a small window of timeduring which they're allowed to accept or reject a ticket order placed by a customer.Sellers often list tickets (albeit for high prices!) on other websites and thusthey may need some time to make sure the tickets you purchased were not just boughtby someone else. Please note that our Worry-Free Guarantee does not take effectfor ticket purchases until a seller officially accepts an order and confirms thatit will be fulfilled. (Most sellers will contact you directly to confirm your order'sstatus within a few hours, but we at TL can always check for you, too!)
  • All sales are final, so choose wisely!

    close

There are very few diversions from this rule: First, you will be refunded by theseller for your order total (minus the shipping fee) if your event is cancelledor never played. Second, you will be refunded by the seller for all order chargesif your tickets do not allow access to the venue or are not delivered in time forthe event. Please note, though, that postponed events do not entitle customers toa refund because the tickets will be valid for the new date of the event. (In thatcase, if you're stuck with tickets you don't want, you can always resell them on Ticket Liquidator!)
  • Are you buying tickets as a gift for someone?

    close

Tickets may not ship immediately after you purchase them, but that doesn't meanyou have to worry about getting them in time for a big occasion! Email giftnote@ticketliquidator.comand we will create a giftnote that you can give your gift recipient in lieu of tickets. The giftnote could be customized for your event type (holiday, birthday, "thank you" - etc.)and be delivered via email as a PDF document within one business day. We can alsoship hard copies of gift notes, as well - whatever you want - so that your specialsomeone has something to open on the big day!

Previous Cowboys Classic Matchups

In 2012 the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Michigan Wolverines faced off in the Cowboys Classic with the largest attendance for the college football kickoff game yet at 90,413. With programs as esteemed as Alabama and Michigan, its not really surprising game tickets for the Cowboys Classic were as popular as they were. But the teams competing in the Cowboys Classic are always good, and in 2013 its no different.

in 2011, nearly packed to capacity, Cowboy Stadium overflowed with roughly 87,711 fans with tickets to see LSU Tigers and Oregon Ducks contest. With a final score of 40-27 the Oregon Ducks were defeated by the Louisiana State University Tigers. In 2010, with a little more than half the turn out of the 2011 Cowboys Classic, the TCU Horned Frogs managed to overthrow the Oregon State Beavers 30-21. The first contract year of The Cowboys Classic, the BYU Cougars beat the Oklahoma Sooners 14-13 in 2009.

Anticipation is building for the 4th Cowboys Stadium Classic on September 1, 2012. The University of Alabama Crimson Tide and the University of Michigan Wolverines haven’t contested in nearly 12 years. In January, 2000 they competed against each other in the Orange Bowl at Pro Player Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL where Alabama was defeated 34-35. With teams this big, you know that tickets for the Cowboys Classic are going to be very popular.

Head Coach, Nick Saban along with the Crimson Tide players are determined to reclaim themselves at the Cowboys Stadium Classic. The blue and yellow Michigan Wolverines will put up a fight though, seeing as they have the most all time wins and highest winning percentage in college football history. Don’t miss out on your chance to see this duo compete in the Cowboys Classic. Be first in line to purchase your tickets to the Michigan Wolverines and Alabama Crimson Tide face off this September 2012.

In previous editions of the Cowboys Classic, LSU beat Texas A&M at the Cotton Bowl and the TCU Horned Frogs beat the Oregon State Beavers, and BYU beat the Oklahoma Sooners. The 2011 Cowboys Classic goes down on Labor Day Weekend, which falls on September 3. If you are looking to get in the action next year, the 2012 Cowboys Classic sees the Michigan Wolverines take on the Alabama Crimson Tide on September 1, 2012.
