About the Show:

Come Fly Away is a musical dance revue set to the songs of Frank Sinatra. It was conceived, directed, and choreographed by the great Twyla Tharp, whose previous Broadway credits include the 1985 production of Singin' in the Rain and the hit dance musical Movin' Out, set to the songs of Billy Joel. In a career spanning decades, Tharp has worked with some of the finest dance companies in the world, including the American Ballet Theatre, which has premiered over a dozen of her works, as well as Paris Opera Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, New York City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, The Royal Ballet, and Martha Graham Dance Company. Her work often uses classical, jazz, and modern pop music, and she is considered to be the creator of the crossover ballet, having created shows set to the music of The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, and many others. Tharp's many honors include a Tony and a Drama Desk Award for Best Choreography for Movin' Out as well as two Emmys, 19 honorary doctorates, and the Kennedy Center Honors (2008).

The score represents such talented songwriters as Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, the Gershwins, Kander and Ebb, Rodgers and Hart, Johnny Burke, and more. Plot Synopsis:

Four couples look for love in a New York City night club. After a rocky relationship, Kate and Hank decide it's best to become "just friends." Marty and Betsy try to overcome their timidity. Chanos and Slim find each other for one magical night. Sid and Babe discover that they each like to be the one in the spotlight.
