Bob Weir Concert Tickets |
As a member of the Grateful Dead for thirty years, Kingfish, Bobby and the Midnites, RatDog, The Other Ones, The Dead and now Further with Phil Lesh, Bob Weir has cemented a place in history as one of the world's most inventive, creative and innovative guitarists ever to exist. Most people know the man for his music and the popularity of Bob Weir tickets, yet few know his real history... Bob Weir was born to adoptive parents in San Franciso, CA in the late forties and began playing the guitar at age thirteen. He was moved from school to school due to the struggles he experienced from undiagnosed dyslexia. Weir would first encounter Jerry Garcia playing the banjo at a music store in Palo Alto on New Years Eve, the band would jam all night and decide to form a band citing The Beatles as their main influence. The Grateful Dead, initially known as Warlocks, would soon shake up the world. Bob Weir served as rhythm guitarist and co-lead vocalist for the Grateful Dead's three decades of existence. Weir has cited McCoy Tyner, John Coltrane, Rev. Gary Davis and Igor Stravinski as influences releasing his first solo album in 1972. Bob Weir tickets were highly prized as the man set out on his first solo trek, it should be noted that all members of the Grateful Dead performed backup on his debut album. Weir has formed many side projects throughout the years, each successful in their own right.
