Friend of the String Cheese Incident and Burning Man alum Lorin Ashton is Bassnectar, former death metal head turned electronic/dubstep DJ. Bassnectar’s Bass Center Festival sold out 8,000 seats two years in a row. Fans flock to his shows for their high energy and visual phantasmagoria. Bassnectar tour dates aren't al hedonism though. Proceeds from his first show at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado on June 18, 2011 went to a non-profit organization dedicated to community empowerment.
