About the American League Division Series

Dating back to 1995, the American League Division Series is the first round of the MLB Playoffs, and ever since its inception ALDS tickets have always been very hot. The series and determines the two teams that will face each other in the American League Championship Series. Four teams play in the ALDS, the winners of the three divisions, East Central and West, and the Wild Card winner, or the team with the best record that does not win the division. With the four best teams in the American League facing off for a chance to get to the World Series, ALDS tickets are always a hot item. Usually the team with the best record plays the team with the worst, unless that team is in the same division. In that case the Wild Card plays the team with the second-best record. And the other two teams play. The ALDS is a five-game series, with the first team to three wins moving on. The team with the better record gets home-field advantage, meaning the first two games are played at home, then the teams travel for two games, and if gave five in necessary that game is played at the filed of the team with home field advantage.
