Academy of Country Music Awards Tickets

With Nashville as the center of the country universe, the Academy of Country Music (ACM) was founded in 1964 in Los Angeles as an ambassador of country music to the western states. The Academy of Country Music Awards held their first broadcast in 1972. It was produced by Dick Clark and honored achievements in country music in the categories of male and female vocalists, albums, videos, songs, Artist of the Decade and Entertainer of the Year.

Past winners of ACM Awards include country legends Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Barbara Mandrell, Reba McEntire, and Garth Brooks. The awards show left L.A. in 2003 and moved to Las Vegas, setting up shop at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino Events Center and more recently at the MGM Grand Garden Arena where Academy of Country Music Awards tickets are a hot commodity.

Nominations for the 2011 ACM Awards include Taylor Swift's Fearless, Kenny Chesney's Hemingway’s Whiskey, Lady Antebellum's Need You Now, Zac Brown Band'sYou Get What You Give, Dierks Bentley's's Up on the Ridge and Jamey Johnson's The Guitar Song. Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame was tapped to present at the show with his Water for Elephants co-star Reese Witherspoon.
