About A Perfect Circle
A Perfect Circle is an American rock group formed in the late, late '90s. The band has released greatest hits albums, but fans had to wait until 2018 for new music with the release of Eat the Elephant. Their previous album dropped in 2004 titled Emotive.
The current members are Maynard James Keenan (lead vocals), Billy Howerdel (lead guitar), James Iha (rhythm guitar), Matt McJunkins (bass), and Jeff Friedl (drums). A Perfect Circle is a unique combination of some of rock's biggest stars. Howerdel, a guitar technician, and Keenan formed the group. Keenan is the lead for Tool, so his addition to the group began its ultimate lineup. Iha is a former guitarist for The Smashing Pumpkins.
In 2005, the group took a hiatus and became inactive so all the individual artists could focus on other bands' agendas. This explains the gap of time since their 2004 album. They regrouped in 2010 and released a compilation album Three Sixty and a box set A Perfect Circle Live: Featuring Stone and Echo. Since embarking on a North American tour in 2017, A Perfect Circle has finalized the progression of the band and new music to come.
