Plot Synopsis:

Ralphie Parker is a normal suburban kid growing up in the 1940s in Hulman, Indiana. His only wish for Christmas this year is to get one thing under the Christmas tree: an official Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle. Unfortunately, his mother is less than thrilled about the prospect, and she constantly repeats to him one ominous prediction: "You'll shoot your eye out!" But Ralphie won't take no for an answer; he has a few tricks up his sleeve to make sure that gun makes his Christmas merry.

On his journey, Ralphie has several misadventures as he is forced to deal with his pesky little brother, Randy, a friend who takes a dare and gets his tongue stuck to a frozen lamppost, a sociopathic, yellow-eyed bully, a less-than-jolly department store Santa, and his eccentric parents.
