You've Placed Your Order, Now What?

Here’s what you can expect from your order experience step-by-step!

Sadly, though, the world is a complicated place, so we can’t duplicate every step for every situation all in one place. Therefore, if you fall into any of the following categories, please click on the links for more specific information about your order handling:

  • I ordered my tickets less than X hours before the event.
  • I ordered my tickets for local pick over X hours before the event.
  • I ordered my tickets for will call over X hours before the event.
  • I ordered my tickets for e-mail delivery over X hours before the event.
  • I ordered paperless tickets that require me to meet a representative from the ticket seller near the time of the event.

However, if your order doesn’t fit under the categories above, here’s what’s going to happen…

1) YOU’LL RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM TICKETLIQUIDATOR CONFIRMING YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN SENT TO THE TICKET SELLER.

Come to think of it, you might even have this e-mail in your inbox right this very minute. If not, it’ll arrive after a few minutes, bearing important information about your ticket order. This includes your 7-digit Order ID number and the contact information for your ticket seller. Please note, though, that this e-mail does not mean your order has been confirmed. For that, you have to wait until…

2) YOU’LL RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM THE TICKET SELLER CONFIRMING THAT YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN PROCESSED.

This means that the ticket seller still has the tickets (no one else got to them before you) and you’re all set! Please note, though, that our sellers get a LOT of ticket orders to double check in a day! As a result, it may well take some 24 hours before you receive that second confirmation e-mail. If later than that, we recommend you contact the seller directly to confirm your order’s status. From there…

3) YOU’LL RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH THE DELIVERY INFORMATION FOR YOUR ORDER.

Specifically, you’ll receive a tracking number you can use to track your FedEx order online. Please note that this tracking number does not necessarily mean your tickets have shipped. It simply contains information so you can go to fedex.com to track your ticket package. (You can also track your package using the MyTicketTracker link found in the e-mail we sent in Step One!) Moving on…

4) YOU’LL WAIT TO GET YOUR TICKETS.

This time period can vary depending on whether or not your tickets are immediately available. But, don’t worry, you’re guaranteed to receive your tickets before the event itself! Before then, if you have any delivery concerns, it’s best to contact your ticket seller directly. They are the ones who actually have/will have your tickets and therefore they’re the responsible party. You can find their contact information in the receipt we e-mailed you in Step One. In time…

5) YOU’LL RECEIVE YOUR TICKETS.

Most likely, you’ll receive your tickets within a week or two of the event itself and be all ready to have fun! Following that…

6) YOU’LL RECEIVE A REMINDER E-MAIL FROM US THREE DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT.

This e-mail contains driving directions to the venue, a 10-day weather forecast of the event locale, and a link to restaurant discounts. Sadly, though, if your event is under three days away, you won’t be getting it. However, don’t fear, because, if you want any of its goodies, we can still provide them. Just e-mail molly@ticketliquidator.com and we’ll send you one or all a la carte! Either way, before too long…

7) YOU’LL RECEIVE YOUR TICKETS #2

(if you haven’t received them already!)

Yes, you’ll get your tickets in the mail soon after the pre-event e-mail - guaranteed! Then, before you know it…

****It’s the day of the event! Woohoo!****

8) YOU’LL GO TO THE EVENT AND ENJOY YOURSELF!

All you have to do is present your tickets to the venue personnel and you’ll be scanned in! This is where you have a great time and make a lot of memories to share! And then, when it’s all done…

9) YOU’LL RECEIVE ANOTHER FOLLOW-UP E-MAIL FROM US ONE DAY AFTER THE EVENT.

In this e-mail, we’ll ask you how things went at the game/show and solicit your feedback. We’ll also provide links to a place where you can post pictures and take a survey. But, basically, we just want to hear from you, so bring some good stories to tell us! And, while you’re at it, why not bring some fun photos we can post and share, too? You’re bound to have some! ;-)

AND THAT’S IT!

So you ordered tickets for a near-term event? Here’s what’s going to happen…

For that, you have to wait until

2) YOU’LL CALL THE TICKET SELLER OF YOUR ORDER TO CONFIRM HOW YOU’RE GOING TO GET YOUR TICKETS.

Near-term deliveries are tricky things, so they’re worth confirming with your ticket seller. You can find their contact information on the bottom of the e-mail we sent you in Step One. Simply give them a call and confirm with them one-on-one how you’ll get your tickets and when. That way you can get things settled upfront and not have to worry about confirming things. Around that time…

3) YOU’LL RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM THE TICKET SELLER CONFIRMING THAT YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN PROCESSED.

Naturally, you just dealt with the seller, so you’ll know already if your order has been confirmed! Occasionally, though, the seller won’t send a second e-mail if you spoke with them personally. So it really depends on how close the event is and whether or not you confirm over the phone. But, either way, keep a lookout for a second confirmation e-mail for your records. Moving on…

You can find their contact information on the bottom of the e-mail we sent you in Step One. (Of course, if you talked with the seller previously, you likely received a timetable then!) Still, before too long…

Great! So you’re all set (presuming you don’t run out of ink) and you have your tickets in hand! Next on the list…

LOCAL PICK-UP OF TICKETS.

Great! You’re getting your tickets via local pickup! Here’s what will happen…

4) YOU’LL WAIT TO GET YOUR TICKETS UNTIL THE TIME FOR PICKUP SPECIFIED BY THE TICKET SELLER.

You should have received a time frame for ticket pick-up from the ticket seller during your call. The seller should also have told you where exactly you’re going to pick up the tickets. Be sure to call them directly if you have any questions or concerns about getting your tickets. It’s important to know these things upfront in order to plan your event experience. In good time…

5) YOU’LL GO TO THE PICK-UP LOCATION AT THE TIME SPECIFIED BY THE TICKET SELLER.

Typically, “local pick-up” means at some location (a hotel, an office, etc) within a few miles of the venue. So it won’t be someplace far where you’ll have to trudge all over the place! At that location, you’ll meet the ticket seller and provide your order information - simple! At that point…

WILL CALL PICK-UP

Great! You’re getting your tickets at will call! Here’s what will happen…

4) YOU’LL WAIT TO GO TO THE VENUE UNTIL THE TIME FOR PICKUP SPECIFIED BY THE TICKET SELLER.

You should have received a time frame for will call pick-up from the ticket seller during your call. This can fluctuate, but it’s usually within a few hours prior to the event itself. After all, you have to give the seller time to drop the tickets off at the box office! Still, if you’re confused, just call the seller directly and they should be able to help. But before too long…

5) YOU’LL GO TO THE BOX OFFICE OF THE VENUE AT THE APPROPRIATE TIME.

Generally speaking, you should get to the box office as early as the ticket drop-off should occur. That ensures that you won’t have to wait in long, long lines to get a hold of your tickets. At the window, you’ll present information provided by the seller to identify which tickets are yours. This is usually just a name or something simple that the seller will provide during the phone call. At that point…

6) YOU’LL GET YOUR TICKETS AND HEAD FOR THE ENTRY LINE.

There all you have to do is present your tickets to the venue personnel and you’ll be scanned in! After that…

7) YOU’LL GO TO THE EVENT AND ENJOY YOURSELF!

This is where you have a great time and make a ton of memories to share with friends and family! And then, when it’s all done…

AND THAT’S IT!

Great! You’re getting paperless tickets and have to meet a representative from the ticket seller at the venue! Here’s what will happen…

Paperless ticketing is a new technology that is in use with a select number of entertainment events. It requires that the actual person (or a rep from the company) that initially purchased tickets to an event is present to have his or her credit card swiped at venue entry.

So what does this mean for you?

1) YOU’LL RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM TICKETLIQUIDATOR CONFIRMING YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN SENT TO THE TICKET SELLER.

Come to think of it, you might even have this e-mail in your inbox right this very minute. If not, it’ll arrive after a few minutes, bearing important information about your ticket order. This includes your 7-digit Order ID number and the contact information for your ticket seller. Please note, though, that this e-mail does not mean your order has been confirmed. If it takes longer, we recommend you contact the seller directly to confirm your order’s status. From there…

3) YOU’LL CALL THE TICKET SELLER TO CONFIRM WHERE AND WHEN YOU’LL MEET THEM TO ENTER THE EVENT.

Remember, paperless tickets require the initial ticket buyer to be present at venue entry. That means that a representative of the seller has to escort you into the venue itself. Therefore, you should call the ticket seller directly to confirm where and when you’ll meet up. This meeting place will be near the event time and usually in front of the venue - simple! Until then…

4) YOU’LL WAIT TO GET YOUR TICKETS.

This can be tough, because you’re anxious to see the event, but hang on in there and keep your patience! Recall, too, that, with paperless tickets, you won’t be expecting anything concrete in the mail. So don’t be mining the mailbox for evidence of a ticket or a ticket receipt.

****It’s the day of the event! Woohoo!****

8) YOU’LL MEET UP WITH THE TICKET SELLER REP AT THE TIME AND PLACE AGREED UPON PREVIOUSLY.

Yes, indeed, by now you should know when and where you’re going to meet the seller’s representative. Please do not be late in case the seller has to walk other customers into the venue, too. Basically, though, you’ll get to the location, you’ll meet the seller, and you’ll get in line. When it’s your turn, the seller will produce his credit card and the venue personnel will swipe it. With that, you’ll be given a paper receipt (“paperless,” hm?) for entry into the venue. After that bit…

9) YOU ENTER THE EVENT AND ENJOY YOURSELF!

This is where you have a great time and make a lot of memories to share! And then, when it’s all done…

10) YOU’LL RECEIVE ANOTHER FOLLOW-UP E-MAIL FROM US ONE DAY AFTER THE EVENT.

In this e-mail, we’ll ask you how things went at the game/show and solicit your feedback. We’ll also provide links to a place where you can post pictures and take a survey.
